It's official: AFP WA & NDOA are united

After years of thoughtful discussions, countless meetings and painstaking planning, the Association of Fundraising Professionals Washington Chapter and the Northwest Development Officers Association officially united on January 1.

The new association will be the single most comprehensive source of education and networking for fundraisers in the Pacific Northwest, and one of the largest AFP chapters in the world.

Toasting the season – and our future

The Association of Fundraising Professionals Washington Chapter and the Northwest Development Officers Association celebrated the season at our 2014 Holiday Social and Annual Meeting, where we also reveled in a final step toward the launch of AFP Advancement Northwest. 

In an overwhelming show of support, AFP WA and NDOA members approved elected AFP Advancement Northwest's 2015 Board of Directors and approved changes to the organization's bylaws.

Q&A: Advancing careers and diversity

The scholarships we award every year are one of the many ways that AFP Advancement Northwest strives to break down barriers and open create meaningful opportunities for fundraisers to gain the skills and knowledge they need to succeed. Through a targeted recruitment process, we identify scholarship candidates in underrepresented groups, such as racial and ethnic minorities and staff at organizations with no professional development budgets.
