How Much Can You Learn in Two Days? Challenge Yourself!

We are offering four distinct tracks at the 2019 Forum on Strategic Fundraising: Smart Structures, Organizational Culture, Community, and Career Advancement. You can choose to follow one track or mix it up. View the conference schedule here.

Author Laura van Dernoot Lipsky to be Keynote Speaker

Laura van Dernoot Lipksy, founder and director of The Trauma Stewardship Institute and author of Trauma Stewardship: An Everyday Guide to Caring for Self While Caring for Others and The Age of Overwhelm will be the keynote speaker for the 2019 Forum on Strategic Fundraising. Widely recognized as a pioneer in the field of trauma exposure, she has worked locally, nationally, and internationally for more than three decades.

Lightning Talks and Snack Time Sessions

Even during break times, you have a chance to learn and engage!

Lighting Talks are quick storytelling-based presentations modeled on the Ignite format. Each speaker has five minutes to present a topic while their 20 slides automatically advance. It's fun and it's fast!

You'll hear from:

Sumi Bhat-Kincaid, Bloodworks NW
Beth Castleberry, CFRE, KCLS Foundation
Cole Hardman, Seattle Children’s
Susan Howlett, Strengthening Nonprofits
Vicki Ostrom, Trendependent
Wendy Rohrbacher, Hospice NW
Christina Shimizu, Wing Luke Asian Museum
David Westerlund, Be Present, Discover Joy Workshops

There are so many great reasons to attend the Forum. One is the community - the opportunity to connect and reconnect with colleagues from all different sectors in our region. The second is the learning. No matter how many years I have been in fundraising, I always walk away with nuggets of ideas or ways to improve my craft

– Sharon Hurt, member

In the Snack Time Sessions, grab a cookie and a colleague, and then head to one of several interactive discussions for a quick dive into a variety of topics, including:

Engaging Young Professional in Your Mission. Shaunessy Jones, Treehouse
Help that Puppy Grow! What Dogs Can Teach Us About Donor Cultivation. Cole Eckerman, Bellevue Arts Museum
Building Your Mission into Your Event. Tracey Lorts, Greater Giving & Samantha Swaim, Swaim Strategies

Can't wait to see you at the Forum!
