Stand for Your Mission: Fundraising and Advocacy for Maximum Mission Impact

Date: Thursday, November 2, 2017
Time: 10 to 11:30 a.m.
Location: The Westin Seattle
1900 5th Ave, Seattle (5th Avenue Room on the 4th Floor)

Registration: $45
(for AFP members and non-members)

A lively discussion of the how and why of advocacy, what you can and can't do, plus tools, resources and success stories from peers to help you integrate advocacy into your mission. Hear success stories from non-profits across Washington State and participate in discussion about the role of philanthropy in supporting advocacy. Join nonprofit executives, funders, senior fundraisers and board members for a thoughtful exchange of ideas about ways nonprofits can influence policy and elevate your impact.

This is a great opportunity to learn and share ideas and success stories with thoughtful change-makers like you. As nonprofits look to leverage every tool possible for mission impact, come hear how AFP's mission of promoting the highest standards of fundraising uses the same skills and leadership it takes to run effective advocacy to influence public and mission impact. In 2014 Board Source decided advocacy was so integral to effected governance they updated their "Ten Responsibilities of Boards" to include advocacy as well as launching "Stand for your Mission" to deliver tools and resources to help integrate advocacy into the work you are doing.

Bring your staff, leadership, and donors to participate in this exciting new program and stay for the National Philanthropy Day Awards Luncheon afterwards.
