How to Win the Hearts & Mind of Donors

Description:

This workshop is for organizations looking to strengthen relationships with current and potential donors through increasing community awareness, improving public perception and maximizing their outreach resources. 

This workshop will cover: how to create an elevator pitch combined with the knowledge of how to tailor it to specific audiences and situations for your organization; five communication strategies that can be accomplished in the next 90 days given existing budget and resources; and metrics to measure the effectiveness of these strategies.

Speaker Bio: Melanie Morris

Melanie Morris is the President and Founder of Realia Company, a consulting firm that helps Seattle non-profits increase their community impact through strategic thinking, expert communications, and end-to-end execution. Realia’s core competencies include strategy plans, communications, marketing and outreach, fund development, and capacity-building. Melanie has 15 years of business strategy and marketing experience and has consulted for a number of organizations including Hopelink, Neighborhood House, University of Washington, Microsoft, and other clients. While her early career focused on corporate marketing communications, today she translates best practices from the business world into high-impact strategies for many non-profit organizations around Puget Sound.
